Milanof-Schock Library Twelfth Annual Used Book Sale
The twelfth annual used book sale at Cross Roads Brethren in Christ Church , 800 Donegal Springs Road, Mount Joy. Friday hours 8 a.m. - 8 p.m., Saturday hours 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. Special pricing by the bagful begins at noon on Saturday. Sponsored by the Friends of the Milanof-Schock Library in Mount Joy. Mount Joy Community Carnival
Kunkle Field
Funnel cakes, candy apples, Rotary’s famous French Fries, and all the delicious food you have come to expect will be at this year’s Mount Joy Carnival, Tuesday through Thursday from 6 PM to 10 PM, Friday from 6 PM to 11 PM, and Saturday following the Memorial Day Parade from 4 PM to 11 PM. This is the third year that the Rotary Club of Mount Joy is coordinating the carnival. Loads of fun and special entertainment is in store for this year’s carnival. Family nights are scheduled throughout the week. Ride all the rides you want with a wristband on Tuesday & Wednesday evenings for $15.00/evening and Thursday for $20.00. Bingo will be offered every night at the carnival by the Mount Joy Fire Police and Rainbow’s End will offer a pool tournament! A full line up of special entertainment is also lined up for the carnival including Sandy Heisey, Tim Reinhard, E. Richard Aument - DJ & Dance Instructor, the Donegal High School Brass Band, Chris Ivey - Character Juggler, and more!

Winterfest 4-7 PM along Main Street between Delta & Marietta Avenue
Great food, festive live music, fun activities for all, and a spectacular tree lighting ceremony are all a part of Winterfest along East Main Street between Delta and Marietta Avenue. Thousands of people attend to celebrate Mount Joy and officially kickoff the holiday season together as a community. There is so much to enjoy. People fill up with the delicious tastes of over a dozen Mount Joy restaurants. Community organizations offer fun games, give-a-ways, and small trinkets for sale. Children visit and share their Christmas wishes with Santa. Many line up to ride the horse-drawn sleigh around town. You could marvel at the work of the ice carver. Other activities include the Little Shoppers Store, reindeer petting, and Obie the Clown. Music fills the streets and many find themselves singing along. The night concludes beautifully with community caroling and an enthusiastic count down to light the tree.
